Meet the founder

HOLTA TEGU

Holta Tegu is an education and wellness entrepreneur who founded two mission-driven companies: SustainED Consulting and Sweat & Heal.

As a UPenn Alumna, ambitious daughter of Albanian immigrants and an educator of 15 years, Holta is no stranger to sacrifice and doing "the work" at the expense of herself. From Middle School Math Teacher to High School Principal — Holta has seen and experienced firsthand the toll burnout takes on individuals, organizations and communities. Through SustainED Consulting, she partners with school leaders and teachers to build effective, yet sustainable systems that support not only achievement, but more importantly, teacher and leader wellbeing. Through Sweat & Heal, she helps busy women overcome burnout and rebuild consistency, energy and peace — through fun, efficient workouts, integrative nutrition support and and science-backed reppaterning practices.

Wellness Certifications: NASM-CPT | Integrative Nutrition Health Coach | NASM-BCS (Behavior Change Specialist)

WHERE EDUCATION MEETS WELLNESS

WHERE EDUCATION MEETS WELLNESS

Her personal story mirrors her mission: sustainability and healing start with self.

For years, like many high achieving women, Holta was showing up for and prioritizing everything and everyone outside of herself first. Though she appeared physically strong, she was emotionally and mentally running on empty. Having navigated periods of depression and anxiety — and earlier in her life, disordered eating — Holta knew firsthand that health doesn’t have a size or a look.

As she often shares when touching on overcoming burnout and navigating depression, “It wasn’t my abs that saved me — it was healing my relationship with myself, with movement, and with food — on and off the plate — that did.”

It was getting her Integrative Nutrition Health Coaching Certification that affirmed what Holta already knew — that we can move our bodies and drink our green juices, but if we don’t handle what’s in our head and in our hearts, true health will always feel out of reach.

For Holta, it was her immense passion for her work that was consuming her and keeping her sick. Recognizing she couldn’t pour from an empty cup, she took an entire year off of education to prioritize her mental health — withdrawing her retirement funds and investing them into her own healing. “I invested my time, energy, and retirement savings into healing my relationship with work, my body, and myself. That year didn’t just save my life” she says, “it reshaped my purpose.”

Healing from the inside out is what allowed Holta to return to the work that once almost killed her, but this time with a new level of awareness and a much healthier, more sustainable approach. By prioritizing her own health, Holta was able to show up as her best self for her students, staff and everyone she shared space with, while sustaining her impact.

That realization became the foundation for Sweat & Heal — a wellness brand built on the belief that we can be both healthy and high achievers. Both healthy and present moms. Both healthy and thriving entrepreneurs.

And that when we’re well, we’re actually better equipped to serve others.
